"Package file Invalid" solution

Some people are reporting "Package file invalid" error on their android devices like Samsung's Galaxy 3, note 2, HTC one x etc etc. This problem has started after the latest updates of GooglePlay store app and Googleplay services. The quick and easy way to solve this issue:

  • Go to Settings>Apps>Find GooglePlay, Tap on it, Tap Clear Cache and uninstall updates.
  • then go to Settings>Apps>Find GooglePlay services, clear Cache, uninstall updates and reboot the phone.
Now go to Google Play app> go to app settings> Select Auto update apps and select Do not auto update apps. Although by selecting this, it will prevent other apps from auto updating but it will also prevent Gplay from updating to the buggy update.
