The new crown jewel of galaxy family is rumoured to have:
- Snapdragon 805/ Nvidia's tegra K1/ Exynos processor.
- 16 MP camera sensor with better low light functionality.
- 5.25" Amoled 2K display.
- 3GB - 4GB ram.
- 64bit processor architecture.
- Beefier battery.
- Samsung's new Windows 8 (Modern / Metro UI) style UI.
- Finger print reader.
- Aluminium chassis.
As the phone is weather proof, it means you can take it in adverse climatic conditions, under water or in desert.
This makes S5 a strong contender for Sony's Xperia Z family. The rumor mill currently indicates that the Galaxy S5 will have an ultra-high-resolution screen (possibly 2560×1440), an all-new aluminium chassis, and possibly some kind of biometric scanner (fingerprint or Eye retina).
The Galaxy S5 will almost certainly be priced equivalently to the Galaxy S4 — though if manufacturing costs go up due to the higher-res screen and aluminium chassis, there could be a small price increase. We would expect a launch price, of around £550/$650.
