Advantages of Rooting Noir A8 or other Android Phones

Alot of people ask :

  • What are the benifits of rooting an android phone?
  • Why should they root their phone?
  •  Is there any advantage of rooting android phone?
If you ask me, the questions are very complicated to get a proper satisfying answer, but I will try my best to answer these questions.

Do you know Jelly Bean release date for Noir A8 & A10. Click here.

The answer to whether you should root your phone or not is both "Yes & No". If you are a power user, a geek or a nerd who wants to explore and play around with what android can do and how can you mod this versatile platform according to your desires, then you should root it. The other reason for rooting is most of the apps on app store other then games require a rooted phone to work properly. However, if you are guy who uses the phone just to play games or for chatting and stuff like that then you don't need rooting.

As far as advantages & disadvantages of rooting your phone is concerned, I will say there are more advantages then disadvantages of rooting.

Lets discuss disadvantages first (trying to scare you :P)

  1. Rooting a phone usually voids your warranty  Although you can unroot the device but it is more likely that it won't completely unroot and the vendor will find out that you have messed around or re-programmed your phone, as a result you won't be able to claim your warranty.
  2. An un-rooted phone is like a bird in a cage which is under the observation of the owner. The bird being the phone and owner in this case is the security pre-installed in android OS. So once the phone is rooted, the cage is broken and the bird is free to be attacked by any one. The attacker in this case can be a hacker etc. Thus your phone becomes vulnerable even to minor attacks which can result in the loss of important private information.
Now we are going to discuss the advantages of rooting your phone:

  1. You are free to do anything with your phone. You are no longer restricted by the parameters set by the OS.
  2. You can mod your device according to your needs and desires. You can mess around with the performance, resolution and the kernel of your device.
  3. You can almost do anything, you can do on your Windows/Linux computer. I am not saying Mac because it is piece of shit designed for idiots or kids ;P. Don't take that personally :).
  4. You can install unofficial updates to your phone. For example, you can install Jelly bean update which hasn't been released for Noir A8 yet but you can take the JB rom of some other device and mod it according to your device sepecifications which in mine and your case is Noir A8.
As a conclusion I would say if you are a computer expert and nerd and have a know how about android/Linux OS than sure root your phone cuz the advantages are limitless however, if you are a casual computer user and don't know much about bash/script programming than its better not to root your phone cuz there is a great chance you might brick your phone.
