Microsoft Surface Pro sales figures leaked

On february 8th, Microsoft released its latest and greatest tablet for Windows 8. Last year in September, Microsoft released the scaled down version of this tablet which was able to run the apps designed for Modern UI only that is you were not able to run windows legacy apps on that tablet. It was more like an iPad but with better hardware and more versatility.

Microsoft has started selling its Surface pro tablets on Microsoft Stores in America and on several retails stores in America and other countries around globe. Alot of people and analyst think that this new innovation of the software giant will give tough time to iPad, which in my opinion is good because this competition may destroy the long lasted rule of iPad in tablet world which will result in the introduction of products with new features in the market.

It's been only 2 weeks since the release of MS Surface pro tablet and people are looking forward for how many tablets have been sold out during this period. Although Microsoft hasn't put forward any official figures on how many tablets have been sold world wide but according to a rumor around 4 million tablets have been sold. Which is a good figure for a tablet which hasn't spent more than 2 weeks on the shelves.

Now the question arises whether you should buy the Surface pro tablet and my answer is Hell Yeah. This tablet is far more superior to any other tablet on the market right now in terms of performance, versatility, and apps. On this tablet you can run all the programs or apps that have been released for Windows XP and Windows 7 until now, which means you have hundreds of thousands of program and apps you can run on this tablet. Unlike iPad, on which you can't run Mac OS apps, on this tablet you can run applications writing for Windows 7, XP , surface rt tablet and even android apps.

This is a full blown computer in tablet form factor. You can do anything and everything you can do on a desktop computer or laptop. Here are a few things you can do with this tablet.

  • Photo editing.
  • Video Editing.
  • Desktop gaming.
  • Inking (for artist drawing pictures and stuff).
  • Music editing.
  • Running other OS like Linux, Android x86 and even Mac OSx in virtual machine on this tablet.

The number of goods this tablet brings to the tablet world are limitless because MS has hidden a full blown PC in this tablet. So if you are spending $650-$700 for a tablet which cant run your computers apps. Why not add 100 bucks more and invest this money in a PC with tablet form factor which has all the feature that a tablet has including the features of a desktop computer.
